How a registration number is read
Both letters and digits count. Letters are converted using Chaldean values, digits are added as they are, and the total is reduced to a single number. An Indian plate like MH12AB1234 is read in full, not just the numeric portion.

Keeping this in proportion
A number on a plate is not a safety measure. Careful driving, a serviced vehicle and a rested driver protect you; a favourable total does not. Where numerology is genuinely useful here is at the point of choice — if you are allotted a set of options for a new registration, there is no cost to picking the one that suits your chart.

Seven is the solitary vibration — fine for a personal vehicle, less suited to one that is shared or used commercially. If this were a taxi or a delivery van, five would sit far more comfortably.
