How to calculate your personal year number for 2027
Your Personal Year number describes the theme of one calendar year for you. It changes every year and moves through a cycle from 1 to 9. Three numbers go into it: your birth day, your birth month and the year itself.
- Reduce your birth day to one digit. Born on the 23rd: 2 + 3 = 5. Born on the 8th: it stays 8.
- Reduce your birth month to one digit. January is 1, September is 9, October is 1 + 0 = 1, November is 1 + 1 = 2, December is 1 + 2 = 3.
- Reduce the year. 2027 is 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11, and 1 + 1 = 2.
- Add the three and reduce to one digit. Born 23 November: 5 + 2 + 2 = 9. Personal Year 9.
Your birth year is not part of this. It is used for your life path number, which stays the same all your life.

When the sum passes through 11
If your birth day and month add up with 2 to exactly 11 before you reduce, as for someone born on 4 May (4 + 5 + 2 = 11), many numerologists call it an 11/2 Personal Year: a Personal Year 2 with the master number 11's sharper intuition and nervous energy. How do I calculate my personal year number for 2027?
Reduce your birth day to one digit, reduce your birth month to one digit, add 2 for 2027, and reduce the total to one digit. Born 14 March: 1 + 4 = 5, March is 3, so 5 + 3 + 2 = 10, and 1 + 0 = 1. Personal Year 1.
Do I use my birth year?
No. The Personal Year uses your birth day, your birth month and the current year. Your birth year is used for your life path number (Bhagyank), which does not change.
Why is 2027 counted as 2?
Because 2 + 0 + 2 + 7 = 11, and 1 + 1 = 2. Some numerologists keep the 11 visible and call 2027 an 11/2 year.
When does my Personal Year start: 1 January or my birthday?
This calculator uses the calendar year, 1 January to 31 December, which is the most common method. Some numerologists start it on your birthday instead; if you follow that method, read the year before as well for the months before your birthday.
